Located on a prominent corner site opposite Brompton Cemetery, 294 Old Brompton Road is a mixed-use scheme with a large retail unit at Ground Floor and 11 spacious residential units above, achieving Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and all Lifetime Homes Design Criteria.
The project had previously been granted planning permission but required full internal and external reconfiguration, construction detailing and interior design throughout. The scheme is now a local landmark overlooking one of the main arteries in and out of London.
The exterior of the building reinforces its prominence using traditional brick and natural stone to create the elegantly detailed facade. High performance timber sash windows that exceed both acoustic and thermal requirements, providing a peaceful internal environment at this busy location.
Working within a tightly enclosed site and strict planning parameters, we were pleased to deliver this attractive new development that complements the nearby regeneration taking place nearby at Earl's Court.
